About this website

Like the best homes, this website has been built slowly.

One page at a time.

One sketch at a time.

One conversation at a time.

It's a collection of things I've made, gathered and grown over many years, finally finding a home together.

Thank you for wandering through it.

Made in Somerset

This website was imagined, written, illustrated and designed from my home in Somerset, England, surrounded by sketchbooks, half-finished cups of tea, garden flowers and more notebooks than I'd care to admit.

Everything here has been created with care, curiosity and a love of the beautifully ordinary.

The details

Website

Built with Squarespace.

Thoughtfully simple, allowing the stories and illustrations to breathe.

Typography

Headings set in EB Garamond.

Body text in Cormorant Garamond.

Handwritten notes throughout are taken from my own handwriting.

Together they reflect my love of old books, sketchbooks and timeless typography.

Illustrations

Every illustration on this website has been drawn by me using ink, watercolour and a healthy amount of curiosity.

Photography

Photography throughout the website is a mixture of my own images and carefully chosen portraits that reflect the quiet, natural feeling I wanted this space to have.

Colour Palette

Inspired by watercolour paper, pressed flowers, old recipe books, faded linen, soft clay, tape yellow and the changing colours of the garden.

Nothing here is accidental.

Everything has a story.

Inspired by...

This website owes a quiet thank you to many people and places.

To Quentin Blake, whose joyful drawings first taught me that illustration could be both beautifully loose and deeply human.

To the families who've welcomed me into their lives as a doula.

To old recipe books, sketchbooks and kitchen tables.

To gardens in every season.

To conversations that lasted longer than planned.

To all the little things worth noticing.

A philosophy

I've never wanted a website that felt like a shop window.

I wanted it to feel like walking into someone's home.

A place where you might discover an illustration, learn something new, find a helpful guide or simply pause with a cup of tea for a few moments.

If it feels calm...

If it feels thoughtful...

If it feels quietly human...

...then it's doing exactly what I hoped it would.

Made slowly.

Nothing here has been rushed.

Some ideas have been quietly growing for years before finding their place on these pages.

Just like gardens.

Just like sketchbooks.

Just like people.

I rather like it that way.

Thank you.

Thank you for visiting.

Thank you for reading.

Thank you for supporting independent artists, writers and makers.

It means more than you probably realise.

Version 1

Launched in 2026.

Still growing.

Always curious.
